ABOUT CHIARUGI

Chiarugi products, manufactured by skilled italian craftsmen since 1969, have been created to suit today's business and personal demanding needs.

The criteria used to manufacture such products is one of attention to details rather than a large line of production.

The entire line of "travel products" is realized using a particular type of vegetable tanned leather
using vegetable extracts, without any use of chemical substances.

The vegetable tanned leather ages but remains strong. Through use it changes, slightly altering its colour,
incorporating physical and weather damage leaving only traces of wear and tear scratches that can be easily
removed.

Using tannins, which slowly penetrates into the raw hides, the vegetable extracts progressively exercise their beneficial action.
For this reason the leather becomes extremely soft and durable.
Most stylists choose to use the vegetable tanned leathers for the realization of their collections.

These leathers are resistant to rain and do not stain clothes.

All travel bags and beauty cases have washable lining and are tear resistant.

The elegant internal linings of all briefcases are either suede, fabric or genuine leather.

All fixtures i.e. buckles are silvertone/goldtone.

In a spam of time which covers almost fifty years, Pratesi has grown stronger after
being handed down from father to son for three generations.

in the field of leatherware and it is this very style which has come to be appreciated by so many
